A close look at Jiu-Jitsu Inside Leg Sweep

A little more finesse than something like a double-leg takedown, leg sweeps are a great way to get someone to the ground, especially if you can get the timing right. Timing, in fact, is the most important factor when executing an inside leg sweep. If you are able to catch your opponent when they have all of their weight on their front leg (such as is the case when they are advancing forward) the leg sweep becomes far more effective.
